Bob Andy "Reggae Land ”

This newly released album Reggaeland by the visionary artist, Bob Andy, brilliantly revives memories of subjective and objective standards of popular Jamaican music. The trend that was established by Andy and his peers. The artistic content in those original works has not only been a source of inspiration to succeeding generations but seems destined to continue influencing the pattern of future generations.

An addition to that genre of original music, Reggae Land, is filled with beautiful melodies flowing with deep and high points of interest. Expressive vocals with lyrics that will arouse an emotional response in the listener are paired with rhythms to stimulate dancing and listening pleasure.

From the Jazzy "Sweet Love" and "It's Heavy to the Bluesy “Cubby Hubby Duncan" and "Gravy Girl" to the hard core "Stay By My Self" and "Keep It In The Grove" rounded out by conventional reggae "Too Experience" and "Peace In Your Mind". All songs delivered with Bob Andy's own sound, complemented by a duet with Toney Rebel on a remix of the title track.

Reggaeland is Bob Andy’s first album  of new material in several years and the combination of increase  live performances and several current singles release from the album have created a buzz around the resurgence of Bob Andy; Reggaeland will certainly be another hallmark in his career.

Ronnie Davis "Wheel of Life ”

Ronnie Davis’ WHEEL OF LIFE collection spins off some of the best lovers rock and roots-protest reggae for your dancing pleasure and listening leisure, your spiritual awakening and social awareness.

They say money spins the ‘Wheel Of life’ and ‘I and I’ are ‘Hungry People,’ ‘People Bawling’ because we ‘Ain’t Got No Money;’ however, what we have got are ‘Loving Arms.’ It's ‘Your Love’ I shall think of ‘When I Am Gone.’ Right now ‘What Must I Do?’ - ‘Go Down A De Dance’ and dud up.

Because its ‘Peace And Love’, we defend all the time, girl. ‘No One’ can take the place of you. Even though you ‘Walk Away Girl,’ all I am asking is ‘Won’t You Come Home?’ You know that ‘Everybody Needs Love’ and you are my ‘Lovie Dovie.’ So ‘Run Come!’ ‘Do You Know?’ ‘This Kind Of Life’ is not what I want. Instead of‘Chasing You,’ I would rather say, ‘She Used to Be My Girl.’ ‘I Have Got to Get You Off My Mind’. Now the ball is in your court.

Dobby Dobson "Lovers Prayer ”

Dobby Dobson (Mr. Lover’s Rock Extraordinaire) is one of the traditional balladeers of Jamaican popular music.  Dobdy’s recording and performing careers span the Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae eras.  He is credited for writing and singing some of Reggae’s most enduring love songs, such as ‘Loving Pauper’, ‘Seems To Me I’m Losing’ and ‘Sweeter Than Honey’.  He has re-emerged during the dancehall era, releasing several successful albums, including the gospel collections, ‘Those Days Are Gone’ and ‘Tomorrow’.

Now, Dobby Dobson is giving praises for his endurance and consistency on his newest album entitled ‘Lover’s Prayer.’  In this collection, filled with vibrant and current rhythms, Dobby’s emotional vocals shine brilliantly. His original songs, ‘Midnight Blues,’ ‘Tears In Her Eyes’ and ‘Ain’t Leaving’ are composed of heartfelt lyrics and rootsy, blues melodies. Some tracks showcase lovely reggae interpretations, such classics as Willie Nelson’s ‘Ain’t It Funny’, Sam Cook’s endearing ‘Little Things You Do’, Aaron Neville’s ‘Warm Your Heart’ and the title track originally recorded by the Wallace Brothers. These songs evoke heartfelt memories and will be a sheer delight for new fans.

Dobby Dobson has withstood the tests of time and his live performances continue to leave audiences spellbound. The critics have dubbed him ‘a romantic stylist’ and an eloquent exponent of gospel music. We trust he will add some of the romantic numbers from ‘Lovers Prayer’ to his live repertoire.

Ken Boothe "Love is the Ultimate”
For over three decades as a professional singer, Ken Boothe still commands the power to unleash his soul on an up-tempo song, a passion that soothes you on a ballad, while he captivates your ear anywhere in between. ‘LOVE IS THE ULTIMATE’ is Ken’s latest album and it combines all the above elements in the ultimate listening experience.

Love Is The Ultimate expresses the concepts of social, philosophical and emotional love. A legendary artist, Ken is a master of his craft, hailed as one of the original banner-carrying Reggae singers. On this new album, love is indeed the ultimate expression of the man. Ken Boothe waves the banner across the spectrum of love songs, - from the emotional, ‘Never Leave’ to ‘Suddenly’, ‘Something On Your Mind’ and ‘Your Feeling And Mine’. Then there are the social love songs, such as ‘Prosperity’, ‘Rainbow Love’ and ‘Injustice’, plus the philosophical ‘What Is Love’, ‘Black Gold And Green’, and the title track. Ken has blended his traditional style with modern sensibilities and has come full circle, marrying his original vocal sound to the current rhythms and a mixture of melodies. Ken Boothe "Acclaimed”
When Ken Boothe was eight years old he won a singing contest and he has never lost focus. Even if it may have seemed blurred at times, his aim has always been to sing and perform to the best of his ability. He has released 20 albums including "Acclaimed" and has always been recognized as a voice of choice in the history of Jamaican Popular Music.

In 1974, he recorded and released the golden, "Every Thing I Owned" that topped the international charts with an extended stay of four weeks at # 1 on the British Top Of The Pops Chart; followed by "Crying Over You", which made it to # l1 on the Charts. Prior to that, Ken Boothe had an illustrious string of hits that dominated the Rocksteady and Reggae eras successively. More recently, he re-recorded his first solo hit "The Train is Coming" in combination with hot DJ Shaggy, which was released on Shaggy's platinum selling, Grammy winning, "Bombastic" album and was adapted as the theme song on the sound track for the movie "Money Train" starring Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson.

Now, Ken Boothe has released an original solo version of "The Train is Coming", on this album "Acclaimed". Other potential gems included are: "Christine", "Jahnet", "My Only Answer", "All Because Of Love" and "Artibella". ACCLAIMED, accepted.

JACKIE PARRIS "LOVE SEASON"
Veteran singer Jackie Parris has revived his recording career with the release of a solo album entitled “Love Season.” Parris had previously recorded hit songs first as a member of the legendary Dave Barker and Ansel Collins group with their million selling single, Double Barrel. Moving on to the leader of the vocal group The Sensation, Parris recorded classics like “Everyday Is A Holiday”, “Born to Love You”, “Those Guys”, and “Where Were You”. He subsequently hit as a soloist with “Run for Your Life”, “There is No Other” and more before withdrawing for a while.

Jackie Parris returned with an accumulated wealth of artistry compiled in “Love Season.” He offers an array of lovers rock along with some social and philosophical songs. He begins by singing about ‘True Love’ and having a romantic ‘Dinner For 2’, in the ‘Love Season’. All the joy of emotional love is balanced by the realities of ‘Mary’ and ‘Disrespection’, returning to the pleasing ‘Miss Pleasant’, then comes the yielding lyrics of ‘Mr. Medicine Man’ and the story of revolutionary hero ‘Paul Bogle’, which is followed by the tale of ‘Runaway Love’. The legendary singer and songwriter, Bob Andy, is covered on ‘Symphony’ and the album moves to a close with ‘Row Your Boat’.

I’NI "Rocking Time"

The vocal duo, “I 'n I” has arrived on the reggae/dancehall scene, and stamped their presence with an indelible musical mark. Since the advent of the dancehall era, the re-emergence of duets has struck the hit-bound trail realized by many combination releases by artists such as Chaka Demus & Pliers and Tanto Metro & Devonte, Bryan & Tony Gold and Tony Rebel & Swayde.

Now I 'n I says "Come Dance with Me", the first single release taken from their debut album "Rocking Time." The album "Rocking Time" is that and more: singing, deejaying, dancing, rocking, loving, heartwarming, and just plain fun.

The members of I 'n I are Leo Hall and Marcel Salmon, both solo singers in their own right before joining forces. They first sang together with the Krossroads Band from the Ground Work Theatre Company, performing in the musical De Culcha Clash - a dub operetta which was staged at the Little Theatre in Jamaica. After the band broke up, Leo and Marcel started working together with a new band - The Sound of Rainbow. They performed at the Haile Selassie Centenary show at Jam World Entertainment Center before venturing out as a duet. Now they have made a name for themselves with the release of “Rocking Time”, featuring songs like: “COME BULL US”, “BRENDA LEE”,
“DON’T GIVE UP”, “GHETTO LIFE” and “JOHNNY”. So rock on.
